SEYAF Commends Governor Similayi Fubara’s Leadership in Rivers State
The South East Youths Alliance for Fubara (SEYAF) has expressed its admiration for Governor Similayi Fubara of Rivers State, acknowledging him as one of Nigeria’s top-performing governors. In a statement issued by SEYAF’s Coordinator, Comrade Paschal Nnaemeka Ugwu, the group highlighted Fubara’s notable achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
In light of the current political tensions in Rivers State, SEYAF urged the Minister of State for FCT, Nyesom Wike, to refrain from actions that could further destabilize the state. The group criticized Wike’s tenure as governor and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and progress under Fubara’s leadership.
The statement read: “The South East Youth Alliance for Fubara expresses its deep concern over the ongoing political instability in Rivers State, arising from the feud between Governor Similayi Fubara and Minister Nyesom Wike. This unfortunate discord threatens to disrupt the progress that Governor Fubara has tirelessly worked to achieve and may plunge the state into unwarranted chaos. We stand in full support of Governor Fubara’s administration, which has remained focused on the development of Rivers State despite recent challenges.”
SEYAF commended Fubara’s administration for its accomplishments, including significant infrastructural projects such as the reconstruction of Ngo internal roads and the extension of the road to Oyorokoto Town, which will alleviate transportation issues and boost local economic activity.
The group also recognized Fubara’s commitment to healthcare improvements, noting the revival of emergency ambulance services and the upgrade of 33 primary healthcare centers, ensuring accessible healthcare for grassroots communities.
Financially, Governor Fubara has successfully increased the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from ₦12 billion to ₦28 billion, demonstrating prudent resource management and economic growth.
Moreover, SEYAF applauded Fubara’s efforts to complete 34 abandoned projects across 13 local government councils, highlighting his dedication to continuity and community welfare. The infusion of ₦4 billion into the MSME sector to assist 3,000 youths in pursuing business opportunities was also celebrated as a significant step toward reducing unemployment and fostering entrepreneurship.
The group further praised Fubara’s support for Hon. Chijioke Ihunwo, Chairman of Obiakpor Local Government Area, recognizing his capability to drive development and prosperity within the community.
SEYAF reiterated its confidence in Governor Fubara’s leadership, urging all stakeholders to work together to ensure the continued stability and progress of Rivers State.
