The founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has ordered the vacation of the organisation’s secretariat at Umutanze, Orlu. This is for them to avoid being treated as suspects in recent clash between soldiers/policemen and operatives of a so-called Eastern Security Network in the town.
Although, the clash was believed to involve members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and soldiers, Uwazuruike said he was still studying the motive behind it.
A MASSOB press statement by one Elder Chris Mocha, Uwazuruike, also directed their members to observe and comply with the dusk to dawn curfew imposed by the Imo state government so as to avoid being caught in the crossfire of the crisis.
