One died, 4 rescued unhurt in Ogun auto crash

One person has died in an auto crash that occurred at Orile Imo along Abeokuta/Sagamu Expressway in Ogun State. Four other persons were also rescue unhurt in the accident.

The crash involved a Toyota Camry Car, Grey Colour with registration no: KSF 225 GX and a Honda Accord Gold colour with registration no: KRD 44 GH as well as a Man Diesel Lorry cover body, colour blue with registration no: AAB 127 ZX.

Eyewitness account said that the cause of the accident was over speeding and loss of control on the part of the Toyota Camry driver 

The Spokesperson of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed this to newsmen in a statement in Abeokuta on Sunday.

Akinbiyi said that the driver of the Toyota Camry lost control of the vehicle due to over speeding, leading to the death of the lone victim.

He said that it took the efforts of the TRACE officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, as well as the Police to rescue the other four passengers unhurt. 

The Spokesperson said that the deceased’s body had been deposited at Idera Hospital, Sagamu by FRSC and operators of tow vehicle was contacted for prompt evacuation of the crashed  vehicles.

He added that free flow of traffic were earlier affected before the evacuation of the  vehicles had returned to normalcy to the road.
