Tarila Okorowanta, a former Nigeria winger is exuding confidence as new Aiteo Cup holders, Bayelsa United, begin preparation for their 2021/2022 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, Orient Sports reports.
United edged Nasarawa United in a nervy penalty shootout on Sunday inside Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, to earn the bragging right for a continental feast of football next term.
“Most of our players have not tasted continental football before in their career”, starts the United Team Manager.
“Some have not even entered aeroplane before. So, this in itself would provide an extra motivation for them.
“We will do our best. Just to bolster the squad with fresh legs in areas of need.
“Of course, we remain confident that we can give ourselves, our state and our nation a good representation on the African big stage”, Okorowanta enthused.
The hierarchy of the club have commenced the process of procuring travel documents, (international passports), for the players, Orient Sports checks revealed.
