He expressed the confidence that the exercise will be concluded successfully especially with the support of the two ministers of the Federal Capital Territory who graced the occasion with their presence.

Senator Izunaso said every Nigerian who desires to  become a member of the APC will be accepted and registered pointing out that the party places high premium on the revalidation exercise and will not spare anyone that does anything to frustrate the exercise.

He commended the FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammadu Musa Bello and the Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu for being present at the flag-off event and appealed to party members to make the revalidation a huge success.

In a brief remark, FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammadu Musa Bello described the APC as a work in progress and he further stressed that the party was a movement and an ideology working to impact positively on the wellbeing of Nigerians.

“We need people we can trust in this party. What people do not understand is that the APC is not just a political party but the APC represents a movement, it represents an ideology. It represents something that most people in Nigeria will not appreciate now until sometime in the future.

“It is a party that is trying to reform and reinvent Nigeria and we have been working on the foundation all these years but now the structure of the image has come out clearly. This is why we want very dedicated, loyal, hardworking and committed Nigerians to continue the good work,” he said.

Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, in her remark at the occasion warned chairmen of area councils against hijacking the party structures for personal gain or doing anything negative that will cause disaffection among members of the ruling party.
