British Spring College, Awka, had on 19th February 2022, joined a mammoth crowd at Osina in Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State, to pay condolence to Late Sir Dr Godson Nwosu Iheaku’s blessed family and it was a blaze of glory.
International Consultant of the world-class school, who came back for the burial from Great Britain, Mr Shola Animashaun and the innovative Principal, Mr Joseph Ozioko led the school community, including the medical, environmental, pastoral, water lab and other units of the school, to pay the condolence.
The uniform attires they wore to show solidarity were symbolic.
The event was historic and featured highlife music from popular artists.
Recall that Late Sir Iheaku was laid to rest on Friday, after a burial service at St. John’s Anglican Church, Osina.
The icon and business mogul who bowed out at 85 was the dad of the Director of British Spring College, Lady Uju Dike. Fondly called ‘Omenkeahurunanya,’ he was one of the pillars of the Osina community.
Born the first son of Late Nze Iheakubiara Agwunobi Nwaebube and Late Mrs Akuoma Iheaku (nee Umezurike), on 10th September 1936, the father of nine children also blessed with thirty-four grandchildren, was successful and dominant in the importation of stockfish.
He started by venturing into the business as an apprentice in 1951. He had a large heart and had trained many people in businesses. His children include Njideka, Chineme, Izunna, Onyii, Uju, Mmaobi, and Ekeoma.
