Right the days of the first surge of the coronavirus pandemic, Annabel hand Of compassion, a non-governmental organisation has been empowering women and training them on how to make home care products and other valuable domestic things. Engr.Mrs. Ann Onyeukwu has over 80 products she teaches the women.
The Moslem celebration prompted another golden opportunity for the women to be trained and empowered; they were taught how to make liquid soap, petroleum jelly, disinfectants and air fresheners.
One of the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme, Mrs Ogonna Nwokolo was thankful for the timely training, she said: “I’m impressed and happy with this training, the things that we were taught today are very useful to us, besides the training, we were given free handouts, refreshment and free materials to go make our own, God will continue to be Mrs. Annabel for this gesture”.
In conclusion, the founder of the organisation and the organiser of the training, Mrs Annabel said “it gives me joy when I see the smiles on the faces of those women, I’m elated! I feel fulfilled and I thank God who made the resources available for me to be able to empower them, by God’s grace, I will continue to do this”.
