The standard bearer for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Barr. Obinna Uzoh, has said that he is the most qualified among the 18 governorship aspirants vying for the number seat in Anambra State.

Barr. Uzoh made this claim ahead of November 6 election when he addressed newsmen in Awka, the Anambra state capital.

According to the guber candidate, I’m ahead of all the other contestant in terms of experience and competence. I contested in 2003 with Mr. Peter Obi and Dr. Chris Ngige.

“I have been contributing to social development, youths empowerment and infrastructural development. “I want to serve my people that is why I have joined the race and I know our dear party – SDP, will emerge victorious come November 6”, he added.

The SDP governorship candidate also disclosed that he had commenced his last minute door-to-door campaigned to clinch the number one seat in the November 6, 2021 governorship election in the state. He said the strategic door-to-door campaign would lead him into landslide victory.

He said, “I have engaged my campaign team across the 326 Wards and the 21 LGAs to go from one house to another to market our Manifesto, which is more acceptable than others.

He also warned against election rigging, calling on the Anambra people to do well to resist any persons planning to rig the November 6 election.

On his agenda for the state, the legal expert cum politician, said that he would collaborate with the Federal Government to dredge the Osakwa River in Ihiala Council Area of the state, all the way the Atlantic Ocean, to facilitate maritime business, which, he said, would create about two million jobs for those unemployed across the country.

“We need a new change and a new face in Anambra, and I represent that new face. I have be contributing to the social and economic welfare of Ndi-Anambra, even before I started contesting the contesting Governorship position with Dr. Chris Ngige and Mr. Peter Obi, in 2003.

“Among the four major contestants, Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, People Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Andy Uba, All Progressive Congress (APC) and myself, Dr. Obinna Uzor of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), I am the only one who can do it because I have the records that no one else has, and they all know it. I will fix Anambra in every aspect because I have been doing it as a philanthropist before joining politics.

On his part, the state Secretary of the party, Pastor Johnpaul Eleduba, appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), not to allow money bags politicians tarnished the image of the commission in attempt to rigged the process.

He debunked the rumour making the round that the party was in deep leadership crisis in the state, while calling for peaceful, violence-free election in Anambra state.

In separate remarks, SDP state chairman, Chief Cyril Chinwuba, the campaign director-general, Mr. Arinze Ekelem and the women leader, Hon. Loveth Okpara, warned against vote-buying and intimidation of electorates. They equally urged Anambrarians to vote the SDP candidate, Barr. Obinna Uzoh, as the most qualified candidate.
