The Enugu State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has extolled Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as the Igbo Language movie, “Ifediche” he sponsored made the nomination list of the 2023 African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA).
The nomination of the movie was made known in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Enugu State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Comr. Brown Ene, the Director of Guild Services, Hon. Chidi Concord and the Secretary, Hon Peter Oramulu.
According to the AGN, the production of the Ifedich movie was made possible by Governor Ugwuanyi who rendered enormous sponsorship for its actualization.
Expressing joy for the nomination of the movie and gratitude to Governor Ugwuanyi’s sponsorship of the movie, Enugu AGN chapter said, “We are most delighted to inform you that “Ifediche”, the movie you birthed through your enormous sponsorship, has been nominated at the 2023 African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) as Best Indigenous Language (Igbo) Movie.
“This nomination is one of the many we hope to get on Ifediche as it begins its journey round the globe in showcasing the beauty of Enugu State and her people. This is a win for us, your Excellency.
“It is a great recognition which is made possible because you listened to us and believed in us. As we all pray that our joy becomes complete on 20th May, 2023 when it will win this nomination, we appreciate you for believing in Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Enugu State Chapter.
“It is a first of its kind venture for any state AGN or the national body. Savour the feeling, sir, of birthing such a masterpiece and recognition for our dear State.”
