Anglican bishop of Awka and Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, has lauded the people of Ngene village, Amawbia, over the erection of Church of Resurrection building in their area.
Ibezim, who gave the commendation at the dedication ceremony of the new church building, last Thursday, added that the building was an indication that the community had regard for the things of God. This is even as he assured them that God has used the church to better their lives.

According to him, “If the church is beautiful and the worshippers are not beautiful, then, they will not make heaven. If you build a beautiful church, your inside must be holy, too. You will need to make the inside holy to match the beauty of the outside,” he admonished the congregation.
Archbishop Ibezim, who also praised the parish priest, Chiemeka Chukwudum, for his giant strides in the church service and in seeing that the church was completed, urged him to be mindful of distraction from the outside world, so as not to make him lose focus.
Speaking at the occasion, the Archdeacon of Amawbia Archdeaconry, Venerable Chris Ogbodo, noted that the church will help in the expansion of God’s gospel.
