By Phil Okose, OnitshaThe Anambra state chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Basil Ejidike, yesterday spit fire, saying that, “whoever that says Senator Andy Uba, is not the candidate of the party in the November 6, 2021 gubernatorial election in Anambra state is talking to him or herself.”Ejidike was reacting to the various litigations and counter litigations against the candidature of Uba, adding that, “I don’t have to reply to anybody about this issue.”“How can somebody say Senator Andy Uba is not the party candidate when he won the party primaries?”He identified the legal twists and turns as being good for democracy, saying it was all “democracy in action.”“What it means is that nobody is being denied of his judicial right. That is how democracy works. If you are not satisfied you go to court to express yourself. That is democracy in action.
On the fear that the coming election may not hold as a result of the litigations, he stated, “ask INEC; but it will hold, I am sure.”
