A socio-political group, “Seyi Makinde Movement for Good Governance,” has lampooned a caucus of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for passing a vote of no-confidence on Governor Seyi Makinde.
The group, in a statement signed by its leader, Comrade Muideen Adebiyi, added that those behind the vote of no confidence lacked morals in calling for the resignation of the only PDP governor in the southwest.
The statement commended the governor for what it described as ‘the remarkable achievements his administration has recorded in the state coupled with his masses-oriented programmes.’
Adebiyi, therefore, called on Governor Seyi Makinde not to allow the noise of his detractors to derail his administration purposeful leadership.
In their words, “Those calling for the only PDP governor in the southwest to leave lack morals. Instead of being proud of him as a performing governor, they were busy putting pressures on him to allow them access to the state treasury.”
