The Federal Government through the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has said that the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level results from 2015 to 2021 are still valid and usable for admission into tertiary institutions of learning.
This information was contained in the JAMBulletin, the official bulletin of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Vol. 3 No. 7, dated December 19, 2022, where JAMB reminded all institutions that the results are valid and usable for admission.
The board also said the reminder was for the guidance of the concerned institutions, and disclosed that the comprehensive list of such candidates were available for verification with the Board at no cost.
Reacting to the development, the Director, Registrar’s Office, NABTEB, Mr. Olugbenga Ojogbede, said candidates who had used the NABTEB GCE A’ Level results of 2015 to 2021 to secure admission into higher institutions of learning are to continue with their studies, remarking that the certificates issued for 2015 – 2021 are very valid.
Ojogbede, then urged all stakeholders, particularly NABTEB GCE A’ Level certificate holders to “take advantage of this window of opportunity to make good use of their certificates”.
The NABTEB boss also expressed appreciation to the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, for his approval of the validity and acceptability of the certificates, as well as to the Registrar/Chief Executive, JAMB, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, for his unwavering support and cooperation in the continued quest for the expansion of the frontiers of Technical and Vocational Education (TVE).
