The former President General (PG) of Nnewichi-Nnewi, Chief Cyprain Okolo has called on the people of Anambra South senatorial zone to ensure that the incumbent, Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah of Young Progressives Party (YPP) is reelected.

The former PG, who hosted over one hundred persons said that the constituents and Anambra South constituency would be better off with reelection of Sen Ubah into the red chamber of the National Assembly.

He said as a matter of fact that Sen Ubah has sponsored bills and motions on the floor of the Senate which according to him are meant for the betterment of the people especially the common people.

“Since Sen Ifeanyi Ubah was elected as our senator, he has demonstrated an unprecedented level of responsibility in representation, he did not abandoned his constituents as was the case with some of his predecessors.

“I must also tell you that some affluent persons are opposed to his reelection not because he has not done well but for reasons best known to them, but we cannot allow his reelection truncated because of certain over bloated persons who are on ego trip.

“The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) senatorial candidate, Engr Chris Azubogu is my personal friend but then, he has been in the House of Representatives for the past 12 years and we have seen for ourselves what Ifeanyi Ubah has done in less than 4 years, the difference I must say is clear.” CY Okolo explained.

The Nnewi community leader said that the February 25 Senatorial election would be based on persons and not bandwagon of political parties.

“As you can see, the meeting was attended by members of APGA, PDP, LP and of course YPP. That is a demonstration of our commitment to ensure Sen Ifeanyi Ubah’s reelection.” He concluded.
