The Federal Government has commenced the rehabilitation of failed portions of Lagos-Otta- Abeokuta road to ease the daily challenges that motorists and commuters experience on the highway..
The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola made this known during a teleconference with the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun and his (Fashola) team this week.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Abiodun, Kunle Somorin, the federal government was determined to immediate rehabilitate the failed portions of the expressway especially the Sango Otta and Otta-Idiroko parts of the road
Somorin said that a team of engineers from the Federal Ministry of Works have been assigned to assess the preparatory commencement of the rehabilitation works.
Governor Abiodun reassured the residents of the State that his administration would leave no stone unturned in his commitment to build and upgrade public infrastructure across the state.
In attendance at the meeting were Governor Abiodun, Fashola, Managing Director, Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Engr. Nurudeen Rafindadi, Director of Federal Highway (Construction and Rehabilitation), Engr. Folorunso Esan, among others.
