The stage is set for the 11th Zik Lecture Series billed for November 16, 2022 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.
The annual ceremony, endowed in the loving memory of Nigeria’s first president, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, is an Initiative of High Chief Sen. Ben Ndi Obi, conveyed through the Faculty of Social Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The event themed “Nigeria in the Throes of Insecurity Towards 2023: “Any Panacea?”, would be held at the ASUU-NAU Secretariat by 10am prompt. The event will be chaired by the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa, while the Guest Lecturer would be Chief Dr. Mike Ozekhome (SAN), a constitutional lawyer and human rights activist.
Other guests of honour are Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, and former Chief of General Staff, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe. The Chief host of the event is the vice-chancellor of the university, Prof. Charles Okechukwu Esimone, while the host is the Dean of Social Sciences Prof. Uche Nwogwugwu.
Meanwhile, the event would be made colourful through the effort of Zik Lecture Series committee led by Prof. Ifeoma Dunu of Mass Communication of the university.
