A front-line politician, Okey Umeano, has expressed disenchantment with the direction the country is now headed.
Umeano, speaking on the 61st anniversary of the country said “Nigeria is in shambles; we live in bondage.” He went on to say that “It was after June 12 was annulled that I knew we didn’t have a country.”
“If Northern governors will meet and talk of 2023 presidency when people are being killed and villages being attacked in the North, it is unfortunate”
“For me I am begging for referendum; I am tired of this country. Anybody that is talking of one Nigeria does not know anything. The structure we are having today is Northern structure. I am only thinking of how referendum will be conducted in this country so that those who have sky as their limit will be able to fly.”
