2023: Don’t Use Kanu To Play Cheap Politics – Rev. Nwachukwu

As the 2023 general elections draw closer, a popular Pentecostal pastor, Rev. Jerry Nwachukwu, has warned Southeast governors and politicians not to use the ordeal of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to score cheap political points.

In a chat with newsmen on Sunday, January 29, Rev. Nwachukwu, who is the Senior Pastor of the Bible Base Miracle Assembly, Nkpor, Idemili North local government area of Anambra state, observed that many politicians in the Southeast, who left Kanu to his own fate before now, have turned into praise-singers for the IPOB leader, with a view to currying favour for themselves and their political parties, etc.

Rev. Nwachukwu told Igbo politicians and stakeholders to make sincere appeal to, and negotiate with the federal authorities and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) for Kanu’s freedom.

He noted, however that Kanu’s freedom is not in the hand of any political dispensation of administration; but in the hands of God, who will, at his own time, turn his situation around, and make him a hero.

On the chances of the candidates of the 18 political parties in the presidential election, the cleric said that in the spiritual realm, he saw hands unveiling Labour Party banners in many states of the federation.

According to him, the Labour Party will make big impacts in the 2023 general election, and that there will be waves that will make or mar many politicians. The wave, he said, will introduce the messiah that Nigeria and Nigerians have long sought for.

He said, “In the February 25, 2023 general election, I see people working unknowingly for the victory of the LP candidate. They will do what they do not suppose to do, and say what they do not suppose to say; which will ultimately be to the advantage of the LP.”

He advised the 18 political parties in the contest, particularly Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Ahmed Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to accept whatever that will be the outcome of the 2023 elections, because, according to him, there will be surprises; and those that moved before the Almighty God to say that the LP candidate will not win will be shamed.

He also cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to shift the 2023 general elections; noting that there are no justifiable reasons why elections will not hold as scheduled.
