The Unuevworo (traditional spokesman) of Etche R’ Alegbo (traditional administrative unit) in Uvwie kingdom, Chief Hope Akasa, has lauded the deputy senate president, Senator Ovie Omo- Agege, over the provision of solar street lights in Christ Street in Alaka Quarters, Effurun, Uvwie local government area.
Akasa, who spoke to our correspondent at his Alaka residence last Thursday, noted that the solar street lights had boosted security of the area, mostly at night.
He, however, appealed to Omo-Agege to prevail on the contractor handling the project to ensure that the street lights were functional at all times as he noted that the one on the front of his compound was malfunctioning.
Akasa, who also commended the benefactor for the provision of electric transformer in Alaka, appealed for its energisation.
He further appealed to Senator Omo-Agege to keep to his promise to rehabilitate the Christ Street Road which, he said, was a major link between Effurun-Sapele Road and PTI Road, Effurun.
