Ga’adi gets coach/player role at Lobi Stars

Lobi Stars have offered goalkeeper John Ga’adi, a coach/player role in the club.
Ga’adi is undoubtedly, one of the longest serving goalkeeper in the Nigeria domestic league with Bassey Akpan of Akwa United and Chijioke ‘Arugo Monkey’ of Heartland as his contemporaries.
Ga’adi is currently in his 21st season in the Nigerian top flight and is in his second spell at the Makurdi side.
‘Arugo Monkey’ and Bassey bust onto the scene in 1999 and are now in their second decade in the domestic league.
“The management Lobi Stars are thinking in that direction and Ga’adi is excited about his new role,” Mike Idoko, chairman of Lobi Stars confirmed.
The dark-skinned shot stopper revealed that he rejected Kano Pillars transfer interest in him prior to the start of the current season because Lobi Stars had informed him of the new role which matched his personal career ambition.
“Kano Pillars wanted me to join them after losing a preseason game that I kept for Lobi Stars.
“But I turned down the offer because Lobi Stars had informed me about the chance to be offered a goalkeeper coach/player role.
“Ï have moved around playing for different clubs and I think it is the right time to return home to play for Lobi”.
Ga’adi has had career spells 11 clubs in his 21 years.
Enyimba,Rangers, Katsina United, Jigawa Stars and Sunshine Stars are prominent clubs that Ga’adi has had career stop over.
Others include Plateau United, Wikki Tourists, Sharks, Akwa United, Lobi Stars and Abia Warriors.
