Reps distribute educational materials to schools

commenced distribution of educational materials to schools within his constituency to promote conducive learning among the pupils.

The benefiting schools include Mgbom Primary School in Afikpo North L.G.A., Nkpghoro Primary School
Egbebu Central School in Afikpo South and Ozizza Central School in Afikpo North L.G.A.

The distribution was the first phase of his distribution of educational materials to public primary schools in the constituency after he bemoaned the dilapidated ed nature of public schools in the zone.

The lawmaker while addressing the pupils, cited the backward state of public schools in Ebonyi State as his motivation for embarking on the intervention.

He noted that he will not relent until he sees public schools in Ebonyi conform to the standards seen in Lagos and other parts of the country.

The items distributed are durable plastic seats, plastic study tables, exercise books, and office chairs and tables for the headteacher and assistant.

Hon. Igariwey said action will be taken to reroof classroom blocks in schools, construct a standard culvert in school premises to safeguard the lives of the pupils, and sink a portable borehole in school premises within his constituency in the next phase.

“I am so committed more than ever to uplift the standard of learning in public schools in Afikpo North/ South Constituency; and in the strength of that today I’ve fulfilled my promise to extend the donation of educational materials like I did in Enohia Itim Primary School, Afikpo on 11th January, 2021 to the following schools:

“Subsequently we’ll capture more schools to see that we give a raise to learning amongst our children”.
