Properties worth several billion have been lost as fire raze about seven shops at Ufuma, a community in Orumba North local government area o Anambra state.
According to a statement issued by the Anambra state police command through its PRO, Haruna Mohammed, the fire incident allegedly started around 1: 20am on Sunday.
Mohammed further disclosed that police operatives from the police command have visited the scene and cordoned off the area to prevent hoodlums from looting.
The statement further disclosed that no life was lost and value of property destroyed is yet to be determined.
