Wike approves new political appointments

News coming out of Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital indicates that the state governor Nyesom Wike has approved some fresh political appointments in the state, seven months after he was sworn in as the governor.
According to reports, those appointed include Wokekoro, Alabo George Kerley, Okiri Aribitonye and Erastus Awortu. Others include Sylvester Mgbor, Victor D. Ekaro, Innocent Paddy Wali, George Ariolu, DeimaIyalla, Emma I. Utchay and NkemNwaribe. Also appointed are Harvey Azuka Ideozu, Andy Nwanjoku, Austin Sor and Otonye Briggs.
According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronics Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, the Special Advisers will be sworn in by the Rivers State Governor on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Port Harcourt.
Commenting on the development, the governor stated that the appointment followed due process of law, and is squarely spread across the various interests in the state.
He urged the new appointees to see their appointment as an opportunity to serve the good people of Rivers State and also justify the trust reposed in them by the government of the state.
