Pillars will crush Jaraf — Ali
By Sab Osuji
The veteran midfielder, Rabiu Ali, has boasted that Kano Pillars will overhaul the three goals deficit incurred in their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg trip to Jaraf of Senegal when both sides clash at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Saturday, December 5, 2020, Orient Sports reports.
Pillar was shocked 3-1 in Dakar over the weekend to leave the Nigeria 2019 Cup holders walking the tight rope in the CAF second-tier inter-club competition.
But as Saturday’s big showdown beckons, the former U17, Flying Eagles and CHAN Eagles midfielder has raised the stakes for Pillars triumph on home soil.
“We least expected defeat in Senegal but then, that’s football, some times it happens this way”, remonstrates the oldest player in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.
“But we have made up our minds to cancel that result. We are prepared for a tough game but we will pay them back in their own coins.
“Since we came back, we have worked hard, correcting all mistakes we made that cost us the match in Senegal. By the grace of Almighty Allah, we will make Nigerians happy after the game on Saturday”, the 40-year-old midfielder boasted.
