NSCDC deploys 2,173 personnel to combat crimes during Easter

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command, says it has 2,173 personnel across the nooks and crannies of the state to curb insecurity during and after Easter celebration.
The State Commandant, Hammed Abodunrin who stated this in a statement in Abeokuta, the state capital, said that the officials deployed for security during festive period were professionals and tactical team of the command. He said that the team consist of the Agro-Rangers, counterterrorist, Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU), among others that are saddle with the responsibility foiling crimes during Easter
Abodunrin, charged the Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and all the management team of the corps to ensure that the people celebrate the festive season with no breach of security and work with other security agencies to curb crimes during the celebration.
He, however, sounded a note of warning to people not to take laws into their hands and use self-help in checking issues of insecurity but rather should approach necessary security agents of the government
The Commandant added that people should be ready to show consciousness about their security and to also report any criminal activities to the appropriate quarters for proper investigation.
