NIS decorates 58 newly promoted officers in Oyo

Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has decorated 58 newly promoted officers with new ranks.

Among the 58 decorated officers, seven were promoted to Deputy Comptroller of Immigration and six to Assistant Comptroller of Immigration.

The Oyo State NIS Comptroller, Adepeju Lawal, commended the Comptroller- General of Immigration and the Ministry of Interior for the promotion of the officers.

Lawal said the promotion would motivate the officers to work harder, urging them to live up to the expectation of their new status through discipline and dedication to duty.

Speaking on behalf of the newly decorated officers, DCI Victoria Oyoyo said that the promotion was a call to higher duties and responsibilities.

Oyoyo thanked the management of the service for making the much desired and awaited promotion a reality.

She said, “I am very grateful to God Almighty for this promotion and use this opportunity to appreciate everyone who supported us to make this day a reality.

“Promotion comes with enormous responsibilities and elevation. We promise not to disappoint the service. We also promise to put in our best efforts and carry out our duties as required to justify the promotion.”
