Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain and frontline aspirant in the 2021 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, Mr. Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo, has promised to tackle the rot in the education system in Anambra state if voted into power.
Addressing newsmen in his office shortly after presenting membership cards to the state executive members of PDP local government and ward chairmen in Anambra state, Ezeemo lamented that today’s graduates were often half-baked and had nothing to show for upon graduation rather than a mere certificate.
The PDP stalwart stressed that education was beyond acquiring certificates. “We know what the problem is and we have the solution. If Anambra people give us the opportunity, my team and I will tackle the decaying system of education in Anambra state and by extension Nigeria.
“Most students go through school but have nothing to offer when placed alongside their counterparts the world over.
“We will reposition the education sector in such a way that industrialists will come in to begin investing in the state in order to reduce the number of people on the streets as well as help to address some of the security challenges facing us.”
He said his party also had plans that would attract investors specifically into the education sector with a viewing to creating employment opportunities for graduates in the state.
Expressing optimism that Anambra State would be better under his stewardship, Ezeemo, an eminent industrialist and philanthropist, solicited the support of the PDP family and Anambrarians towards the actualization of his political ambition.
