EBSU Inducts 58 Medical Graduates

Ebonyi State University, EBSU Abakaliki, yesterday, inducted 58 new medical graduands of her medical school.
The event held at the University’s Permanent site, Ezzamgbo is the 19th set of graduates to take Oath into EBSU Medical profession.
Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Dr. Kelechi Igwe in his remarks challenged the Doctors to think about humanity and be of good professional conduct as they move into the labour market.
According to the Provost of EBSU College of Health Sciences, Prof Perpetues Chidi Ibekwe, the University has produced a total of 1, 730 medical personnel including the newly-inducted medical graduands.
He said the mission of the institution was to produce qualified and well-trained medical personnel who would help in solving human health problems around the world.
According to him, “At the end of this ceremony, 58 brand new medical doctors shall have been added to the list as the College had earlier produced 1,672 medical doctors, to make a total of 1,730 qualified medical personnel, who are gracefully solving human medical problems around the world,” he said.
Some of the newly inducted medical graduands, Dr. Godslove Osim, and Dr. TooChukwu Ekumankama thanked God for seeing them through the rigorous process. They pledged to put in their best in saving lives through their medical practice.
Mother of the celebrant and former Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists Ebonyi Council Comrade Osim Veronica commended the University for impacting positively into the young doctors and urged the graduands to remain good Ambassadors of the school.
