The newly appointed secretary to the Delta state government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, has charged management and staff of his new office to be committed in the discharge of their duties.
Ukah gave the charge during the official handing over ceremony to him by the outgone SSG, Mr Reginald Bayoko, last Monday.
The SSG said that his office was vital in the realisation of the vision of the state government under the watch of Governor Okowa, adding that, with the quality of staff he had in the office, he was sure at maximum delivery on his mandate as the SSG.
“I know you have people who can work in this place and I am also aware that the best among the best civil servants are in this office,” Ukah said.
The ssg equally commended the permanent secretary in the office, Comrade Samuel Dietake, saying that he was always humble and dedicated in the discharge of his duties, wherever he had served as a civil servant in the state.
Speaking, Mr. Bayoko noted that the appointment of Ukah as the new SSG was the will of God and urged him to try to effectively and efficiently deliver on his mandate as the SSG, just as he prayed for God to give the SSG the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the office and urged the staff and management to give the SSG their support to enable him succeed.
