Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state Tuesday said the state chapter of the APC was targeting a million members in the ongoing membership revalidation exercise.

He started this during his membership status revalidation at Umunaga Ward, Ohaozara local government area of the state.

“We are at the next level. Southeast has since moved on. Southeast is APC, just a few days ago, Mr. President approved N6bn for us to start limestone granite to start our fertiliser plant. Just two days ago, Mr. President approved N400miilon for us to do an empirical evaluation of our salt deposits so that we can build hypochlorite solution for the entire water treatment in Nigeria and also for table salt and also for commercial uses.

“Here in Ebonyi, we are going to get one million APC registered, viable, committed next-level members.

“I thank my unit people that are doing the registration. Yesterday, I learned that they have crossed over 600 people in one unit and if you multiply 600 people in one unit by 2000 polling units, you get 1, 200,000 Ebonyians in APC.

Austin Umahi, the former national vice chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), South East, who also registered with the governor, said he would introduce PDP winning technique to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win the zone.

Austin, younger brother of Ebonyi state Governor David Umahi bragged that he knew the winning mechanism and that he would reintroduce it into the APC during elections.

“I want to tell every Nigerian that I am proudly APC today. I can tell you the stories out there. On the appointed day, I will say so many things about the other side but, for now, I rejoice and am glad that I am in the right place and that is APC.
