MASSOB, CAN blast Gov Bala support for arm-carrying herders

The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, and the Anambra state branch of Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN, yesterday blasted the Governor of Bauchi state, Mohammed Bala, for defending Fulani herdsmen use of AK47 rifles and other sophisticated weapons as ‘self defence.’
According to MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, “if there is (sic) responsible government, the governor should have been arrested, even if he has immunity. It means he is encouraging other tribes to take up arms.
The DSS should arrest him over his careless talk against the state.”
Uwazuruike, who spoke through his personal assistant on media, Mazi Chris Mocha, stated that, “it is a careless statement; government is supposed to take serious action against him.”
Also reacting, the Anambra state chairman of Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN, Rev John Ndubisi, said, ” we stand for fairness and equity and we have right to life, speech, worship, among others.
There is a standing constitutional law. It is not encouraged by law to carry sophisticated weapons like AK47 rifles.”
“Why should government allow such people to carry arms. The law is no respecter of any person, it is against the law of the nation to carry such arms” he stated further.
On the gay marriage the CAN boss reiterated that it is US foreign policy. “We are not surprise because it is a policy that will widen their political interest. To sanction is one of the ways to guide their political interest and economy.”
“They feel they are superior and that is why we call them police of the world”
