IPOB blasts comments linking ESN to Soludo’s attack as devilish
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has refuted alleged involvement of the group in the recent attack on the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
Unknown gunmen had invaded a meeting of the ex-CBN governor with youths in his Isuofia community, killing three Police officers and abducting Anambra State Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne, who was released on Sunday.
IPOB said anybody linking ESN and IPOB to what happened to Soludo was evil and the person must suffer from the hand of God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama.
The Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful stressed that IPOB remained a peaceful movement seeking for the total restoration of Biafra.
The statement read in part, “IPOB or ESN has no issue with Soludo even those that IPOB had issues with has not been attacked, why are people Linking ESN and IPOB into this evil attack to Soludo? IPOB, ESN has nothing with Soludo.
“IPOB is a peaceful movement seeking for the total restoration of Biafra and ESN is a vigilante group set up to protect our bushes and forests for the safety of our mothers, wives and sisters from the Fulani terrorists rape and killings, those traitors linking ESN to this ugly and evil activity will suffer.
“ESN does not involve on any evil activity. Soludo must look round and find out that his political opponents are on his neck not ESN or IPOB.
“Again, IPOB and ESN does not indulge in kidnapping or killing people we suppose to protect. We are confident to provide adequate security for our people not to kill or kidnap them.
“We are not unknown gunmen, IPOB and ESN are known group ready to fight for our upcoming kingdom.
“Those unscrupulous elements who don’t know how IPOB and ESN operate can say what they don’t know.
“It is unfortunate that our people, mostly the politicians do not talk talk about Fulani terrorists herdsmen parading in our land kidnapping and killing people all over Nigeria but have the mind linking a peaceful movement like IPOB and ESN into this ugly activity.
“What is absolutely wrong with our people and what have IPOB done to them? What have we done, is it only fighting to liberate them from this bondage British put us into? We are fully committed towards the restoration of Biafra and nothing more.”
