Abdullahi Biffo, technical adviser of Kwara United, has described the statement from his former employer Katsina United, accusing him of being the major reason why Kwara United was held hostage after their Week 18 encounter in Katsina, as a desperate efforts of a desperate team to cover up their ill doings.

“There defense was laughable. The team was very desperate of taking the three points at stake, and God decided to shame them.

“When I got to Katsina, they came to my hotel with some policemen with the excuse that I was owing someone N24, 000.00.

“They claimed that I bought food supplement drugs for the players of Katsina Utd while I was still in the employ of the club.

“That since the money has taken a long time, I will have to pay for it with accruing interest.

“To avoid any scene at the hotel, I transferred the sum of N48, 000 to him.

“Their intention was to destabilize me, and ensure that I wasn’t part of the match. I told the guy that if I am not owing any money, and he is being used to destabilize me in their quest to win by all means”.

“Immediately we won the match, I left the stadium. It was later I was told that the team was held hostage by a former player of the club who said I collected N110, 000.00 from him.

“That I collected the money from him, and used to motivate the players when money was not forthcoming from the government. I knew where the guy was coming from.

“He is related to those at the top, and was a player in the team, but was not contributing to the team. When I dropped him from team, the team allocation stopped coming.

“But, when I decided to reinstate him, immediately, our debts were settled by the government. The monies they were talking about were used for the team, and as we talking, the club is still indebted to me running into millions.

“I however leave them with their conscience”, he concluded.
