Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, has called on the Aba community to come out enmasse to cast their votes for Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming by-election for Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency, scheduled for March 27, 2021.
The governor made the call during a mega rally of the PDP, held at Etche Road Field, Aba. He stated that the PDP-led administration in the State has done much to deserve the vote of Aba people, noting that equity and fairness demands that an Aba indigene, is allowed to represent them at the national assembly for the first time since 1999.
He affirmed that his administration has built several roads in Aba and is poised to do more, saying that Aba people should vote based on what political parties have done in the State.
He described Ebisike, as a young committed party man, capable of representing the people.
Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, deputy governor, Abia State, noted that the candidate will represent the people well at the Green Chambers, stressing that a vote for PDP is an affirmation for Governor Ikpeazu, who has done so much for the Aba community.
Chinedum Orji, speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, called on Aba residents to support the candidature of Chimaobi Ebisike, to work closely with the Governor to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Aba.
Asiforo Okere, chairman, PDP Abia state, observed that it is only an Aba indigene, who was born and bred in Aba that can represent Aba well, describing it as an opportunity for an Aba boy, to complement the works of Governor Ikpeazu in Aba.
He disclosed that the process that brought about the emergence of the PDP candidate was was the freest and fairest election, where all the aspirants accepted the election and supported in the project of producing Chimaobi Ebisike, as the next member representing Aba North/Aba South at the national assembly.
