Guber aspirant pledges to sustain Obiano’s programmes

The federal legislator representing Orumba North and South constituency in the house of representatives, Dr. Okwudili Ezenwankwo, has pledged to continue with the good governance of Anambra state, Governor Willie Obiano if voted into power.

Ezenwankwo stated this on Monday at the Civic Centre Nanka in Orumba North local government area while declaring his interest to run for the governorship seat under the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The lawmaker, who is the former chairman, Southeast and Anambra Traders said he was not afraid of any candidate, having worked for the party for over 15 years. In his words, “Governor Obiano has done marvellously well in key developmental areas of the state like security, commerce, education, health, among other areas.

“I will only continue from where the governor stopped because I have the qualities, capabilities and managerial ability to develop the state further.

“My achievements as leader of traders in South-East and Anambra State as well as my current records in my constituency as a federal legislator are testimonies that I have the managerial ability, qualities. Besides, God gave me the grace of leadership.

“As a businessman, I have the ability, sagacity and quality, I have been a good manager of men, I have been part and parcel of many government in the state as well as been in APGA for 15 years. I have been a stakeholder in APGA and have worked for the party. I am not afraid of any candidate, people in our party especially the youths know I am capable to succeed Gov. Obiano.”

Earlier, immediate state commissioner of health, Dr. Joseph Akabuike and former chairman of NBA Aguata branch, Barr. Cliford Okoye, while extolled the qualities of the candidate, saying “Ezenwankwo is a passionate developer of welfare of the poor, down trodden and youths,” they said seperately.

The traditional ruler of Nanka, Igwe Ogochukwu Ezeilo, president general of the community, Paul Chinedu, and other party bigwigs were among the dignitaries at the occasion.
