FG to complete 2nd Niger bridge next year – minister

Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Monday said any federal government project announced and approved must be implemented by the government of President Mohammedu Buhari.
Onu who stated this when the people of Isuokoma in Ebonyi state paid him to thank you visit in his Uburu hometown pop, Ohaozara local government area of the state, also said the second Niger bridge will be completed and launched by next year.
The minister advised the people of the southeast to continue to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to continue to fulfill the promises he made to the zone which he included construction of the 2nd Niger bridge and rehabilitation of the Enugu/ Port-Harcourt road.
“And I will like to use this opportunity to again appeal to the people of southeast Nigeria to continue to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari this is very important because all the promises he made to the southeast, he is fulfilling them.
“If you go to the second Niger Bridge in Onitsha, you will be amazed at the level of work that is taking place. This is a project that by next year it will be completed.
“Also the Enugu/ Onitsha road, the Enugu/ PH Road, today work is going on at various points and work will continue to go on until the projects are delivered.
Prince Anthony Anoke, President Isuokma in diaspora noted that the minister had open up doors of opportunity for Isu youths.
On his part, Ifeanyi Orji President General Town Union Isuokoma urged to Onu use his office to ensure that work commences at the Federal Technical College of Education site which he said the people were eagerly waiting for.
He commended the Minister for attracting the National laboratory Science Institute to the state and federal roads that cross the institute.
He requested the employment of Isuokoma graduates.
Chief Sunday Chukwu, the team leader noted that before now, there was no federal establishment in Isuokma until the minister gave them the federal College of Education Technical, National Laboratory Science Institute, and Federal roads.
