Benue 2023: APC aspirant vows Party will wrest power from PDP

A contender for the All Progressives Congress, Benue APC Governorship ticket in 2023, Dr. Matthias  Byuan has expressed his desire and optimism that the Party will wrest power  from the ruling People’s Democratic Party,  PDP  in the State.

The APC  candidate noted that  nothing shall  ever  stopped his Party of emerging  victorious, come rain or sunshine  as far as his  concerned  in the  race. 

According to the aspirant, popularly called, “The Dollar  Senator” by his political admirers boasted, “even  if it is money,  I have  enough  to spread around.  And of course, I’m sure we will coast  home  victory” , adding,  “the same  feat would be replicated  ,when I vie for  Senate, alongside , Senator  Barnabas Gemade,and  former , Governor,  Gabriel Suswam  if not  for  intervention of  power that be.” I could have  beaten other candidates  ‘hands-down’  to emerge the Party’s flag bearer (in the previous election.) 

He further revealed that his, is not threatened with the likes of Senator  Barnabas  Gemade  in the race, adding,  ” am ever ready to  square it up a 2nd  time  around,  ” I have done it before,  am familiar  with  the terrain, when chips are down  , ” we shall  know, who might  pick  the  ticket  ” 

Earlier,  a Party stalwart, Mr.Tersoo kula during, his remark,  reflected that  antecedents  of the various aspirants gunning for the Party’s ticket in 2023 are  still  fresh  with  those who  canvassed supports  for  him, during  his Senatorial aspiration. 

The  APC  chieftain  further  noted with satisfaction those who  received vehicles such  as cars  and  bicycles  it eventually becomes  their  properties unlike  others. 

Recall that after some candidates lost out of any internal Party race, most of them  collected  back. But in the case of the aspirant case  all  were left in the  hands, of those  who collaborated efforts towards canvassing  support  even up to this  moment .
