The Principal of Cave City Secondary School, Ogbunike, in Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra state, Mr. Okafor Augustine, weekend  harped on the need for private organizations, communities and ex- students to partner with schools in improving the quality and standard of education in the state and Nigeria at large.
The award winning principal who has given a face lift to Cave City Secondary School in less than six months of assumption of office with the assistance of an old boy of the school, who pleaded anonymity, said he is looking forward to seeing the school  transformed to a world class model school befitting of the 21st century.
He expressed his delight at the level of infrastructural development going on in the school, which includes an ultra-modern hall, a bore hole and a new staff room single handedly built by the
anonymous donor.
The prolific pedagogue was also quick to recognize the efforts of the Anambra state government for its developmental strides in the Education sector.
He further called on Government owned school administrators to dig deeper in pursuit of academic excellence by extending a hand of partnership to host communities and private organisation in making learning conditions for students more conducive as Government cannot do it alone.
”Education is the bedrock of any society and man remains the only architect of its own destiny, therefore all hands should be on deck in order to restore the lost glory of Cave City Secondary School.

As a principal or a teacher, you are duty bound to impart moral, spiritual and academic excellence on students. My vision for the school goes beyond creating a conducive environment for the staff and
students but to also guide them in becoming self-reliant, God fearing, patriotic and valuable assets to the society.”
“I have already embarked on a developmental plan to raise young inventors like i did when i was a Principal of Government Technical College, Onitsha where the school and students won National and International awards and scholarship for six novel inventions which includes an Electromagnetic Rocket Launcher, fake currency detector, electromagnetic generator, bioreactor and robots.”

It was further observed that vices such as lateness, truancy, cultism and indiscipline which was fast becoming a habit of students of Cave City Secondary School was fast becoming a thing of the past in just six months of Okafor’s appointment as principal of the school.
