Two Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, Civil Liberties Organisation, and International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, Intersociety, yesterday condemned the alleged plot by US President, Joe Biden, to sanction countries that discourage gay marriage.
According to the Anambra state chairman of CLO, Vincent Ezekwueme, “it is better for us to be sanctioned by God than human. Nigerian government must be commended for rejecting gay marriage. It is against God; an abomination.”
On the support of herders in carrying AK47 rifles, he reiterated that, “they should not be allowed to carry sophisticated weapons of mass destruction.”
in his reaction, the Intersocierty chairman, Nze Emeka Umeagbalasi, stated that, “the Northern Muslims have one agenda and that is to achieve Islamisation of Nigeria.
That is why whenever there is any attack against the Fulani herders that they use to achieve this, they will rise up in defence of the herders.”
On the US plan to sanction countries that discourage same sex marriage, he said it is unGodly to practise gay marriage.
“Anything that goes contrary to natural law is contrary to God. We are naturally against that gay marriage, it is condemnable. Only about six states in the US practise it and still it has not become national law in US so why must Joe Biden impose it on countries outside US?” he queried.
