Coach Donald has mounted the technical saddle at Nigeria Professional
Football League side, Mountain of Fire Miracle Ministry Football Club, MFM FC, even as coach Tony Bolus became the first coach to lose his job in the 2020/2021 domestic top flight, Orient Sports reports.
Bolus and his first assistant, Yemi Olanrewaju, mutually parted company with the Church Club Wednesday in the aftermath of the harvest of woes that has become the bedmate of the club in the current campaign.
Despite a good start at the beginning of 2020/2021 season, MFM appear to have lost steam, resulting in back to back defeats that has now forced the club’s hierarchy to wield the big stick.
During his nine match reign in the 2020/2021 season, Bolus won only two and a draw, raking in only seven points out of a possible 21.
One of the club’s fans fainted on Sunday following the home defeat by Heartland.
Bolus had previously managed Giwa FC before taking charge at MFM in 2019.
“Thank you everyone for your support for the past two years I have been working with MFM FC”, Bolus said.
“I have resigned my position as the assistant coach of the club. I wish the team all the best,” Yema confirmed on his official Twitter account @yemastarcoach.
