The youths of the People’s Democratic Party, Anambra state chapter have declared their readiness to ensure that their party comes out victorious in the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
This was made known in a communique signed by their leader, Izukanne Ogom, and other district youth leaders of the party after their meeting at the party secretariat in Awka, Wednesday.
The youths declared that time was right for the party to reclaim its lost position in the state stating that the party members were already tired of fielding candidates every four years without success.
They vowed to resurrect the demand for the free and transparent primary election, given the forthcoming November 6 gubernatorial election in the state.
The PDP youths condemned the February 6, 2021 invasion of the venue of a PDP aspirant’s programme in Nnewi, warning that they would no longer tolerate similar attacks on the party aspirants, stakeholders or further disruption of their programmes by paid hoodlums and their sponsors.
They, however, urged law enforcement agencies to properly investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
They also advised all aggrieved party stakeholders that are still in court to withdraw pending cases in the interest of peace and actualisation of the party targets.
