Emmanuel Amuneke has expressed concern over the sudden death of Enugu Rangers striker, Ifeanyi George, saying it was sad that the promising player’s career was cut short.
Amuneke spoke to Orient Sports from his base in Spain.
“I saw him play in Egypt when he came with Rangers during a CAF Confederation Cup game against El Masry”, Amuneke recalled.
“He was such a good player. It’s very unfortunate that his promising career could be cruelly cut short by death like. I really feel for Rangers and his family. Honestly, it’s so painful”, Amuneke said in an emotion laden tone.
The former Nigeria winger was recently head coach of Egyptian Premier League side, Makkasa before he mutually parted company with the struggling side.
